Pilansberg Elephant back Safaris - detailed itinerary

Depart for the Sunrise Safari daily from Sun City Welcome Centre (06h30; 08h30) and for the Sunset Safari daily from Sun City Welcome Centre (15h30).  

Mode of transport: Open Safari Vehicle and elephant back. Enjoy the 20-minute drive through the Letsatsing Game Park and view general game and birdlife. Participate in an introductory talk and interaction. The elephants are saddled and the safari commences. Following ancient game trails, guests have an opportunity to see rhino, giraffe, zebra and various other game from the unique perspective of an elephant’s back.

Pilansberg balloon Safaris - detailed itinerary

Depart for the Sunrise Safari from your Sun City Hotel (05h00). Mode of travel: Open Safari Vehicle and balloon.

Undoubtedly, the finest way of viewing the Pilanesberg National Park and its  inhabitants, this sunrise experience should not be missed. After an early morning pick-up from the various Sun City Hotels, travel to the centre of the Pilanesburg for the launch of the balloon. An hour flight over the park concludes with a sparkling wine celebration, first flight certificate, and full English breakfast at a private lodge in the reserve.
